Nancy Quirós Aguilar is originally from Costa Rica. In 2016, Nancy got a PhD in Atomic Physics at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) and in 2021 she got a Master's Degree in Digital Currencies at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus (UNIC).
Currently, she is the lecturer of the Digital Currencies course taught at Lead University, Costa Rica (ULead) where she focuses on Bitcoin. Nancy is the vice-president of the Costa Rican Bitcoin Association (AsoBitcoin CR) and a founding member of the Instituto de Filosofía y Economía Bitcoin (IFEB). Nancy studies the impact of Bitcoin in our society from a philosophical perspective and the benefits and challenges of the adoption of Bitcoin in Costa Rica.
