Bitcoin Jungle hosted the first and highly successful Nostr Unconference, called Nostrica, which attracted more than 300 Nostr enthusiasts from around the world.
The event took place in Uvita, a small coastal town that is the center of the Bitcoin Jungle project. The conference was held at the Awake Venue, which had two large, temporary conference halls, dining halls, a dedicated hackathon area, and is surrounded by jungle and a pristine river. Attendees were impressed by the venue's beauty, and were able to cool off in the river during breaks between talks. In addition, the entire 14-acre site had state-of-the-art WIFI access installed.
